Stable Ground supports the energetic needs of horses thru Reiki energy healing. We strive to remove energetic blocks that can improve their health, performance and emotional well-being.

Horses understand and respond to the energy around them. They use energy, called Qi  (Chi) to communicate with their herd, express dominance and sense predators. Blocked or unstable energy has a domino effect on the horse, their herd and their human companions. Reiki energy aims to balance energy by clearing disruptive energetic blocks and offering the flow of calm, healing energy in its place.
 

Reiki energy has no contraindications and can be used in conjunction with all other treatment.  

The benefits of energy healing are unlimited but the effects can notably:  

-reduce pain from injury, illness or surgery

-promote faster wound healing

-increase confidence for events

-address unfavorable behavior 

-soothe emotional distress or grieving

-shift nervous energy to a more calm energy (including farrier fear)

-help incorporate horses into a new herd

-provide comfort during end of life transition 

Connecting with a colt or stallion before and after castration can drastically improve their emotional wellbeing. Horses can go thru feelings of grief, confusion, trauma and emotional despair after physical alterations. While they may handle the physical recovery well, the emotional impact can cause longer lasting issues. Offering Reiki before castration can give your horse the understanding and confidence to move forward knowing they are safe. Energy healing can provide them with a sense of being cared for and not view the castration as a punishment or a sense of being diminished. 

This holistic approach not only addresses the physical body but the spiritual, emotional and mental health of the horse.  Reiki works in conjunction with other treatments and can expedite the healing process. By opening energetic blocks and encouraging their body to respond to medical treatment, Reiki can greatly improve not only their physical health but restore their emotional sense of well-being.

Reiki (ray- key) energy connects on the energetic level and is not limited by distance.  It is a gentle, healing energy that can be offered to any living being. The use of this universal life force energy has become widely accepted as a form of treatment in both humans and animals.  

For humans, Reiki is commonly used in hospitals, hospices and is often used as complimentary service to ease the side effects of chemotherapy.  Reiki is never forced or in conflict with any other treatment.  It is at the discretion of the recipient to receive the energy being offered.

Since energy has no physical restrictions, distant Reiki is often a preferred method to connect with animals. The physical presence of a new person can sometimes be a distraction and cause the animal to be on alert or curious instead of receptive to healing energy. Working remotely with animals allows all the benefits of the Reiki energy without the disruption of the new person to their surroundings.

Blocked Energy Blocks Energy 

Recent studies conducted by the Institute of Heart-Math provide a clue to explain the two-way healing that occurs when we're close to horses. According to researchers, the heart has an electromagnetic field larger than the brain: a magnetometer can measure the energy field of the heart that radiates from 2.4 meters to 3 meters around the human body.  

While this is certainly significant, perhaps more impressive, the electromagnetic field projected by the heart of a horse is five times larger than that of a human being. Imagine an electromagnetic sphere around the horse and it can influence straight into our own heart rate.

Horses are also likely to have what science has identified as a ′′coherent′′ heart rate (heart rate pattern) that explains why we can ′′feel better′′ when we're close to them. Studies have found a coherent heart pattern to be a solid measure of well-being and consistent with emotional states of calm and joy. That is, we exhibit such patterns when we feel positive emotions.

A coherent heart pattern is indicative of a system that can recover and adapt to stressful situations very efficiently. Many times, we just need to be in the presence of horses to feel a sense of well-being and peace.  

In fact, research shows that people experience many physiological benefits by interacting with horses, including lower blood pressure and heart rate, higher beta-endorphins (neurotransmitters acting as pain suppressors), decreased stress levels, decreased feelings of anger, hostility, tension and anxiety, better social working; and greater feelings of empowerment, confidence, patience and self-efficacy.

Removing energetic blocks for one horse can have a positive effect not only on their well-being but on the animals and people around them.
 

All sessions are performed remotely. You do not need to be present with your horse but please ensure they are not engaged in performance activities at the time of their session. An email will be sent summarizing the healing.

Session fee: $250

One session can make a significant difference in most cases; however, certain injuries or situations will benefit from additional sessions. For example, event horses can benefit from sessions prior to competition to calm nerves, center their attention and allow optimal energy flow. They can also benefit from post event sessions as a reward, to speed recovery and reduce pain and inflammation. Law enforcement horses can benefit from sessions after duty as compensation and to remove stress related energy.

We offer 30 minute sessions for clients in need of ongoing support. There will not be a formal follow-up email unless there is pertinent information to relay from the session. Notes will be kept on file for our own reference.
